A residential refurbishment in the heart of Bozen involved window replacements on two storeys. The key priority was to preserve the charm of the old apartment building.
Hence the green finish to the hinged and roller shutters that emulates the building’s original appearance. The hinged shutters with their movable slats also cater for controlled ventilation while providing flexible visual privacy and solar protection. The arched windows further reflect the historic character of the elevations. Moreover, their narrow, only 127 mm wide mullions in the angular Step-line design vouch for a visually discreet frame assembly. The Slim-line profiles of the other windows also blend perfectly with the façade. All units deliver maximum insulation to create a pleasant indoor environment throughout the year. It was thus possible to preserve the building’s original charm while at the same time upgrading its functional performance.
